After a period of reflection, we have decided to leave Prats and return to the States. Believe us when we say that this was a difficult decision. In the end, however, we are confident that it is the right one. Several factors contributed to our thinking: while beautiful, Prats is unusually isolated. This led to a situation in which we found it difficult to develop a social network with people our own age. Employment, too, was becoming a challenge: for while we both had work, we did not have the sense that it would sustain us through the winter months. Consideration was given to moving to a larger city in France (Paris, say, or Nice), but this seemed an expensive - and risky - proposition. And so we leave Prats, happy with what we have accomplished and eager to return in the future. For those who have followed this blog, we thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you back in the States!
